Sept. 10 - GlaxoSmithKline and Cellzome have signed a strategic partnership worth as much as $1.5 billion to develop treatments for inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. The deal grants GSK exclusive options to license experimental drugs made using Cellzome's proprietary Kinobeads technology, which can help identify compounds that can impede the function of molecular switches, called kinases, in the body.
